A Fresh Start

Let me start out by saying this is not my first attempt at starting a blog. About 2 years ago I started a simple blog when we moved from the U.S to Tanzania. I was strongly encouraged to do this by friends and family back home as a way for them to keep up with my life overseas. Although I had reservations about starting a blog ( due to not being inspired or feeling very passionate about anything-how can you maintain a blog without either of those??) I eventually opened up my browser and created one.  2 years later and only 3 uninspired posts in… I decided to give up on the idea of having a “blog diary”.

So why am I starting another blog since the last one was such a disaster? The answer is rather simple: to share what I’m passionate about with friends, family, and anyone who is interested in my strange and far away life.

Yes, I have found my passion and inspiration again. Moving to a 3rd world country and being without work for 6 months tends to make you lose sight of what your true passions are…at least for a little while.

I also hope for this blog to be an inspiration to other women who find it…let’s say challenging... to stay healthy, fit, fashionable and encouraged while living in a 3rd-world country.

Let’s face it…it’s hard enough to keep up with all those things in a modern 1st world country where everything you want and need is at your finger tips…let alone in a foreign country where the term organic is hardly known and the idea of stepping out your front door for a nice run through the neighborhood seems like a fairytale.

I’ve learned from my last blog to not over estimate how many times a month I’m going to blog. So my starting goal is to post at least once a month. Hopefully more, but no promises! I hope you enjoy and please leave me comments, tips, and ideas to make this blog fantastic!
