Cake & Design

I don’t usually share my design work with the public, or promote other businesses on here, but today is a special today because this post is about both, near and dear to my heart…and just in time for the weekend!

One of my younger sisters (I have 3), started baking cakes almost 2 years ago (we all grew up baking, but she started baking for friends and family a few years ago), by accident, and it has completely evolved to small business making (mostly) wedding cakes. She uses her great baking skills along with her unique eye for creativity and photography to develop some of the most beautiful wedding cakes out there.

I was recently home in Tulsa for her wedding (which was absolutely amazing!) and spent some time with her at several local coffee shops – THE thing to do in Tulsa. More than once she was stopped by other girls who asked or praised her with ‘You’re the girl from FlouredRoses!’. She is a bit of a local celebrity in Tulsa and I couldn’t be more proud of her!

So, why I am writing this post? 1. Because I really am so proud of my little sister and all she has accomplished with her business. and 2. Because I did the design work for her brand. Surprise! It’s a double-whamy, sister-combo project.

Our styles are different, but similar enough that it was relatively easy coming up with a design and brand that best represented her company, as well as her as a person. Such a fun project! Screen Shot 2017-07-26 at 1.39.02 PM

Thats about all I wanted to say.

Now go check out her facebook, instagram and website to see more of her beautiful creations!
